I'm writing this post as an educational post to clear some common misconception regarding having a bio filter filtering system for a koi pond. I've been designing and constructing koi ponds for 8 years and there are a few issues/worries that my clients face when they are deciding if they wanted a koi pond or which type of filter system to go to. Initially Mr. Moses wanted a smaller koi pond for his new home at the Mines but after a few discussion in which we recommended him to go for a bigger size koi pond for his garden's aesthetic view and for his pond to be more futureproof in which he can have more beautiful koi fishes, he agreed to enlarge the size of the pond.
